I was born in north carolina. I have lived in a few places, georgia, florida, california, and I am now back in charlotte, north carolina.
My educational background is in the field of american literature; therefore, being totally literate and totally unemployable as a 'lit' major, I’ve worked in a few bars (I even sang and played piano in one of them). I have cooked in everything from all-night retro diners to a four-star restaurant and hotel. Now I do a bit at web design and network operation.
I enjoy all good food and wine, poetry, photography, drama, old tv shows, BBC comedies, strange and clever commercials, technology, and books.
I disenjoy any sort of attempts to classify or to categorize me, most watery american beers, anything that calls itself “lite,” and carelessly prepared food. Pushy, demanding, rude, or incompetent people can go get fucked for all I care. Bad industrial design makes me absolutely crazy.
I knew that I was not quite like most other kids from about age 6 or 7, but I did not age acknowledge to myself that I was gay until about 12; I told everyone else at 14 and 15. I think that this site began a while back, in the old BadPuppy chat room. Their old chat had an area to post personal profiles and photos. The majority of guys who posted photos in that chat used commercial porn sites for the source, and you would see chatters with photos that belonged to Lukas Ridgeston, or some other porn king du jour.
I figured, “What the hell is the point of a photo that has no bearing on the person that you are talking to?”
Since most ISP’s and webhosts are really prudish and provincial about hosting any photos of naked men (much more taboo than naked women, who knows why?) I just bought a domain name, found an ‘adult’ webhost, and put up a really shitty looking webpage to hold a dozen or so photos. (One of the very first photos is this one.)
Over the last 4 years, the site has grown; now I have a webcam that runs virtually all day and all night (just enough time out for reboots and computer maintenance). Most recently I added a Windows Media streaming cam with audio. I try to keep adding a few photos and a video clip or two, but that stuff takes time so I do not get as much new stuff done as I would like.
My cam is sort of a feeble fusion of an amateur j/o cam and the far classier “real life in all its humdrum glory” cam as pioneered by SeanPatrickLive a few years ago and as currently exemplified by Bob and Johns Place. Sean was much better at this than I will ever be (he did not have to resort to cheap porn, as I do), but he is an inspiration to me still, even though his cam site has been offline for a long time.
I can’t predict what you’ll see on my cam: it might be a fascinating shot of me asleep, or me cursing at my computer in frustration, or it might be me jacking off, or...
